BattleBit and what to play next on Switch
The Resties talk about the biggest "small" game of the year.
This week on The Resties:
BattleBit Remastered plays like Battlefield, looks like Robolox, and is one of the most technically impressive indie games of all time. How the hell did it get made by three people?
Frushtick and Plante do their best to survive the virtual war ground while explaining this little miracle’s origin story. In the back half, the pair pick six Switch games you should try after Tears of the Kingdom.
Games discussed:
13 Sentinels, Shin chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation The Endless Seven-Day Journey, Tinykin, Cadence of Hyrule, Immortals: Fenix Rising, Tunic, Final Fantasy 16, Laya’s Horizon, Mars First Logistics, and BattleBit Remastered.
Hardware discussed:
Razer Moray IEMs.
What we’re reading:
This fall, Martin Scorsese’s adaptation of David Grann’s Killers of the Flower Moon will hit theaters. That book’s a horrific historical pageturner, and the movie’s two trailers look promising. However, in terms of A+ summer reading, you should consider Grann’s latest book. The Wager is a harrowing tale of shipwreck, mutiny, and the cruelties of global empires.
From Plante: “I’m listening to the audiobook and it’s perfect in short bursts. Thrilling bits of high sea treachery to be consumed on the way to the grocery store.”
