Besties, do you plan to cover the game South of Midnight? It's a really cool and very important game that isn't getting as much coverage as it deserves. I think Justin and Griffin might especially appreciate how authentically this game depicts the american south in a loving way
What about maybe an A segment on the game and a B segment on why it's problematic to buy it right now? Because a large part of me does want to hear their opinions
Problematic feels like a reductive word but I don't know much about the BDS stuff other than a brief glance at your article and seeing that it relates to Israel Palestine stuff. I don't mean to be insulting - I just both want to know what the besties think and I want to hear about why I shouldn't get the game ya know?
yeah, it’s a complex issue, imo, because microsoft is so huge they are hard to effectively boycott. but i’ve seen a lot of people that aren’t even aware of the BDS boycott and the besties crew seem like people that might want to at least take that into consideration.
I hope there will be an episode on Clar Obscure: Expedition 33 soon, I just started act 2 and the game has its hooks in me with the combat, story and characters unlike anything else released this year or last year. Highly recommended!
Really disappointed that the BDS boycott of Microsoft wasn’t even mentioned when the Oblivion remaster came up, let alone that y’all are doing a whole episode on the game next week. :/
a lot of people seem to be unaware of it. for example, secret sleepover society (aka jacob and julia drawfee) were going to play it until their community informed them of the boycott.
Im pretty politically active myself and only learned about the boycott yesterday. Its incredibly difficult to keep up with all the shit going on in the world, I think the besties deserve a bit of grace for not knowing or still wanting to talk about a video game.
I bought sunderfolk on the switch day 1. Brought it to a friend’s house that night and we had a blast. It’s definitely not a “party” game. But it’s absolutely great if you have friends who like board games or TTRPGs.
Justin talked a few weeks ago about using tech you already have to do cool things with, and that inspired me to take an Anbernic device with a broken shoulder button that I never got around to returning, and toss UFO50 on it, since it doesn’t use those buttons anyway. Now I’m looking at an old laptop and my old phone and wondering if there’s anything I can do with those
You all should check out Erenshor. It's a single player MMORPG (I know that doesn't make sense but give it a look). It's great because for people like myself, the biggest problem with those games is no pause button. This solves that problem. Still in Early Access but worth keeping an eye on
Russ's tale of trial and tribulation reminded me of my own waiting in line horror story, from earlier this year, when I waited from 4am to 2pm outside Bowery Ballroom for the chance to see Paul McCartney there, and they ran out of tickets TWO people in front of me. So I just want to say: Russ, I get it.

or, maybe consider NOT promoting bethesda and microsoft by talking about oblivion? https://bdsmovement.net/microsoft
there’s tons of other new and interesting games, like clair obscure and hundred line last defense academy, you know.

Yeah, I had honestly completely forgotten Bethesda was owned by Microsoft!
Pleaseconsider not covering oblivion. Many content creators are avoiding streaming and reviewing it in solidarity with the BDS movement.
You guys have a really strong impact on where people put their money
Man this sucks 😞

I NEVER play these kinds of games and am loving it so much so far
The presentation goes a long way but I am deep into the puzzle-like integrations of the combat

Griff I do feel bad about it but I am obligated to say GO JETS GO
Following on other comments, you guys should skip Oblivion and talk about Clair Obscur instead, the game slaps.

I would pay extra in Patreon for a blog by Justin about all his projects
I know it's been named, but also consider "Justin Case"

How’d you do that, PortMaster?
Griffin's Funky Kong shirt's come up a number of times now, and I simply *must* know where I can get one. I beg of you.
New Monster Factory when?!?!
Justin and Griffin can now contort beautifully rendered faces into Oblivion.

Sounds cool, and it looks like there’s a demo!

*screaming at my phone*
JUSTIN'S PORTABLE CONSOLE SHOULD BE CALLED THE JUSTIN CASE!
JUST IN CASE!!
