Party animals is great, lies of P is great, baldurs gate 3 us amazing, starfield is fun, payday 3 came out, cyberpunk updated, I DONT HAVE TIME TO PLAY ALL OF THEM
I legit spent several weeks of my life convinced that "Lies of P, the Pinocchio souls-game" was a Justin goof after hearing it for the first time a few months ago
I can't bring myself to buy lies of p, even though I absolutely love the look of it. Something about the character movement really throws me off. Also, Monster Hunter Now has turned out to be a big bummer, so much so that I've reinstalled MH World and started a new character. Incredible game, 10/10. Hoping we'll see a MHW2 in the next few years
Have you guys mentioned Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow on the podcast? Just wondering if any of you have read it. I’m not a big reader (oops attention span) but I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one sitting basically.
It’s fiction, but still a great look into the humans who make games. Thought about it again after finishing PsychOdyssey - thanks for that recommendation.
Glad to hear the fellas are all on board the Lies of P train. I promised myself I’ll finish BG3 this weekend so I can head right into Sweet Lying Boy simulator. Can’t wait!
WHOOOAA. I'm excited to listen to the episode now (more than normal) because I've been learning Japanese for a few months and specifically use Tokini Andy and his website. Super helpful, super great stuff, and a nice guy to boot. Can't wait to see what y'all say.
He goes over every chapter and every grammar point for free on YouTube, it's worth your time, for sure. Some of that stuff is VERY dense and VERY poorly explained lol
My boyfriend said pipis organ and I had to make a bad edit of this beautiful throwback meme. You can find them in the Notes on my profile. I’m very proud.
I inch closer and closer to purchasing a Steam Deck, and though it's possible it's been mentioned before, I was curious which models you all have.
I'm interested in getting the basic cheapest option and swapping out the storage, but all the debate regarding screen glare has me hesitant so I thought I'd ask about this.
props to Plante for getting through the genki books!! I think people who are fans of Besties and are learning japanese would love Game Gengo. it’s a youtube channel that uses video games to apply context to learning japanese. I would definitely recommend it!
Alright, spooky season is upon us and I've been interested and terrified of warching Skinamarink. Longshot but does anyone know which episode they may have mentioned it? Also, fwiw if anyone sees this, I'm basically a cinema troglodyte, really only normally watch bad ones with friends, but had a night this past week to see Deadstream on Shudder and it was probably my favorite horror-comedy since A Cabin in the Woods. Had a super good time watching it, and would welcome any other reccomendations!

It DOES NOT seem real. It's incredible that it's such a big hit.
God I'd love Bill Hader as solid snake.
Hi Besties,
Have you all seen the craziness with Titanfall 2 reviving and the tinfoil theories surrounding it?
Do you think there will ever be a titanfall 3? Are there any other games you’d like to see get a second chance or sequel?

I have the Genki textbooks but hadn't heard of this guy, psyched for this new resource!

Yessssss Game Gengo is great too; I can't wait to one day tackle a video game in Japanese. I've been watching his Genki and N5 videos too.
Granted, I have Party Animals wishlisted because my wife watched TGA with me, but I'm extremely surprised its "the most wish listed"

Thank you for this magical gift!
Anyone playing F-zero 99? It's tight.
Question for the movie buffs.
With spooky season coming up quickly, what are some of the best horror movies to watch if you aren't necessarily a fan of them?
From Plante:
Here's a quick list of not-so-scary horror that's fun during Halloween season.

Holy cow, thanks so much Chris. Huge fan of your work!
The conjuring might be my favorite horror movie full stop.
Agreed. My step mother grew up in school with the kids. Great movie even without my background knowledge.

Thank you!
The classic is solid! The glare isn't a huge issue unless you spend most of your time gaming outdoors.
Thanks so much for the input!
This seals the deal, I'll probably put in an order in the next couple days.
Looking forward to it!
