I am so excited that someone else knows Cannibal! The Musical! I’ve had the dvd since like 2004, and my friends used to host watch parties to introduce it to people. I ADORE the movie, and you can see a lot of inspirations in the movie for later South Park gags. HIGHLY recommend the DVD commentary, as Matt and Trey get progressively drunker and incoherent. Best luck with the screening!
I actually had a question for Chris. Cineflix has been doing a series around their Top 100 films. For Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind the topic of whether Kate Winslets acting or Michel Gondry's directing made that film the critical success it was. What do you think has a larger impact on a film? Would that film been as good if it wasn't Michel Gondry behind the camera or is it Kate Winslet's performance that ties the whole film together?
What a lovely project. Sadly, I am an ocean away but will check out similar events in my area. I need more people to meet up in real life to geek out with.
So excited to come see it! I just asked Plante on letterboxd about when polygon hosts screenings at the Frida. Just moved to SoCal and I love the theater!
Congrats Chris! Unfortunately I no longer live in SoCal but this looks like a really cool program and I'm stoked you get to put it on! I head to LA occasionally for work and i'll definitely try to make one next time in town.

That’s rad. It is hard to make friends in real life. Happy new year everybody.
So exciting! Love the intention behind the pitch and I can’t wait to see what movies you pick. I’m soooo there for Cannibal!

15 min from my house! Sweet! Plante, we can discuss Skul: the Hero Slayer… haha
And why the Bengals are still better than the Chiefs.
Hahahhahaha it’s a deal!
(Terrified of the Bengals getting into the playoffs but also happy for you if they do!)
Shpadoinkle! Kick ass!
Strong recommendation for those in the area! It’s a blast! Wish I wasn’t 3000 miles away!
